Letter from a Civil War soldier : AL, [1863].

Unsigned letter written on three folded sheets of embossed stationery marked with the initials O & H. by an unknown Civil War soldier, apparently to a loved one at home. The letter appears to have been written by an ambulance driver in the Union army, whose troop is marching to Fayetteville, Ark., with captured members of the First Arkansas Cavalry. Describes the army camp at Halcomb's Spring in detail, and the troop's arrival in Fayetteville. Contains editorial markings in ballpoint pen.
